I was thinking about my first arrival into NYC. I arrived in the evening about a year and a half ago and I had a meeting with my current agent the next day and boy was I nervous! I never been to NYC and all the tall buildings/people were very intimidating. I woke up that next day put on my makeup and went outside. I didn’t see any taxi’s waiting outside the hotel and I thought to myself oh great I am going to have to get a taxi “the new york way”. I saw a taxi coming waved my hand in the air and it stopped. “Hurray!” I thought and while I was walking up to the taxi an older lady jumped in it! “What that was my taxi!” I thought to myself . The lady didn’t wave her hand to get the cab. I had to walk about two blocks before I caught another empty taxi cab. Thinking back this was just NYC’s way of saying “Welcome to NYC!” :)

Models hear the word “no” every day. This has to be the hardest part of the job but I’ll never give up!
On another note I opened a door for a handicap man in NYC and he was so surprised someone helped him open the door! He did not know what to say a spurted out the words “uh uh happy new year!” which is pretty funny because it’s already March LOL . I don’t see why anyone wouldn’t help somebody that is disabled.
